Your a Big Boy Now!!



A year ago today at 12:16 p.m., I gave birth to Evan Matthew. He is now walking and talking and driving me absolutely crazy. In honor of my son's very first birthday, I bring to you these facts for April 4th.



It is Children's Day in Taiwan.

It is Hero's Day in Lesotho.

It will be Easter Sunday in 2010.

Today in History:

1818 - Congress decided the US flag would consist of 13 red and white stripes and 20 stars, with a new star to be added for every new state in the union.

1841 - William Henry Harrison became to first US President to die in office. He died of pneumonia a month after his inauguration.

1850 - Los Angeles becomes a city.

1949 - Twelve nations signed the North Atlantic Treaty, creating NATO.

1968 - Martin Luther King was assassinated in Memphis.

1981 - Henry Cisneros became the first Latino elected major of a major US city (San Antonio)

1994 - Netscape Communications Corporation is founded (under the name "Mosaic Communications Corporation") by Marc Andreessen and Jim Clark.
